FAQs

  • This is for all brands in the garment and footwear industry who want to learn how to practically implement human rights due diligence within their own company and supply chains.

  • HRDD Academy participants pay an annual fee based on the size of the company and access level. Participants can choose to upgrade from one access level to the next throughout the year and the price difference will be settled in the annual invoicing. Prices start from:

    1. Understanding HRDD – from €1,399 per year

    2. Unpacking HRDD – from €1,999 per year

    3. Active HRDD – from €2,999 per year

  • The price depends on the size of the company and if they are a member of one of our partner organisations.

If you are a member of an organisation that we don't have a partnership with, feel free to reach out to tell them and include our email address - join@fairwear.org.

  • The HRDD Academy is a self-paced learning platform. We have found that it takes a brand, on average, six months to complete the first access level: Understanding HRDD.

  • Each brand can access four user accounts to be used by four different people. This can be upgraded to eight accounts upon request.

  • When moving from one access level to the next (e.g. Understanding HRDD to Unpacking HRDD), you only need to pay the difference between each level. Participants can choose to upgrade from one access level to the next throughout the year, the price difference will be settled in the annual invoicing.

  • We would love for you to communicate about your work with us! Once you become an HRDD Academy participant, you will access a communication guide that will show you how to do this.

  • If you work for a retailer, we are open to discussing a bespoke partnership to make the HRDD Academy more accessible to your brands. Email join@fairwear.org to find out more.

  • If you work for a member-based organisation in the garment & footwear industry, we're open to discussing partnership possibilities. Email join@fairwear.org to find out more.

  • By joining the HRDD Academy, you are not becoming a Fair Wear member. Fair Wear member brands are already going above and beyond the industry norm to improve conditions at their suppliers’ factories, and we provide one-on-one guidance to further support them. Fair Wear members receive an annual Brand Performance Check where they are assessed on how far they have integrated human rights due diligence into their core business practices and how their practices support the Fair Wear Code of Labour Practices (CoLP). Each Brand Performance Check report is published online for transparency and accountability.

By becoming a participant of the HRDD Academy, your brand will have access to our extensive tools & resources and be guided on your HRDD journey. However, there will not be one-to-one support or annual brand performance checks.

To see if your brand is eligible to become a Fair Wear member, email join@fairwear.com.
